SS16 Tales from the Sea

“I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the winds like a whetted knife; And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.”
- Sea Fever by John Masefield

Harbour side and sailing out to sea, is where you’ll find Feather Drum this Spring/Summer season.

A collection inspired by nomadic ocean life, hidden coral reefs, palm drenched
islands and sightings of ghostly frigates from centuries gone by. Summer 2016 sees Feather Drum dressing for the occasion in whisper-light cottons, muted tones and of course, the brands signature customised prints.

A graduation from the classic nautical scene, rope-wrapped anchors and oceanic coral motifs partner with a colour palette of soft grey, navy and stone washed burgundy for a modern and slightly European update. Crisp whites and deep teals breath life to white washed walls and well worn denim, think sunset, think youth, think discovery.

Staying true to the bountiful offering of unisex styles in child-friendly fabrics, the collection presents the staple soft cotton jersey tees and drop-crotch pants. Added to the new style catch is the ‘woodstocker jumpsuit’, the sailor loving ‘Ahoy pants’, and the stretch leotard which every little girl is sure to love.

In keeping with the brands heritage of boho-luxe, hero styles include the Catalina luxe-lounge pant, made from a fine woven cotton/ silk mix, and the Celeste midi skirt overflowing in sails of cotton sateen fabric.

Draw your anchors, and set sail on this sea life adventure.
